SMS Consent Script

This page documents exactly how Daviah IO LLC obtains consent before sending any SMS message, for the messaging program Daviah Appointment Confirmations.

Where consent is collected

There are exactly two opt-in paths. There is no keyword opt-in, and we never collect consent on outbound calls.

• 1. Verbally, during an inbound telephone call the customer places to our published business line — the script below.
• 2. On the web booking form at daviah.io/daviah/book, via an unchecked, optional checkbox reading: "I agree to receive text messages from Daviah about this appointment — the confirmation, plus any reschedule or cancellation. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Terms and Privacy Policy." The box is never pre-checked and the form submits without it.

This is an exact reproduction of the checkbox shown on our booking form at daviah.io/daviah/book, displayed here so it can be reviewed without booking an appointment. It is shown in its default state — unchecked.

The same disclosure is shown on the booking page before any appointment is selected, so customers see it before reaching the form:

What the caller hears, verbatim

Once an appointment time and a callback number have been agreed, and before any message is sent, our assistant reads the following script and waits for the caller to answer:

"Last thing — can I text you about this appointment? You'd get the confirmation, and a heads-up if it moves or gets cancelled. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help any time. Our terms and privacy policy are at daviah dot io slash terms and daviah dot io slash privacy."

How consent is recorded

Consent is recorded against the caller's phone number, with a timestamp, only when the caller clearly agrees. Calls are recorded and the recording is retained as evidence of consent. Silence, an ambiguous response, or the script not being read all result in no consent being recorded, and our system will not send an SMS to a number without recorded consent.

Consent is never required

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of booking an appointment, of purchase, or of receiving any service from us. A caller who declines still books the appointment and receives an email confirmation instead. Our assistant is instructed never to re-ask or press the point.

Scope of consent

Consent applies only to this program — a transactional confirmation for the specific appointment being booked. It is not reused for any other messaging program. We send no marketing or promotional text messages of any kind.
